It is seven days now since the death of Hajiya Maryam Shehu,the wife of His Royal Highness the Emir of Keffi, Dr Shehu Chindo Yamusa 11.
His wife Maryam died last Sunday after a brief illness and has since been buried according to Muslim rite on Monday.
She was the third of the wives of the monarch’s .The third day prayer was at the instances of the Nasarawa State Governor Engineer Abdullahi Sule and other top notch Nigerians who share their heartfelt sympathy with the immediate family of Dr Shehu Chindo Yamusa and the entire Keffi Emirate.
In his condolence message Governor Abdullahi Sule prayed God to repose the soul of the deceased in peace and grant her eternal rest as will as comfort the family of Emir of Keffi.
On Saturday being the seventh day into her burial ,the Keffi Emirate chamber was filled with well wishes of the paramount ruler who includes former governor of Nasarawa State,Senator Abdullahi Adamu,Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and also seen in the palace was honourable Abdulmumini Ari.
Senator Al-Makura in company of the Executive Chairman Keffi Local Government Area and Managing Director Nasarawa Urban Development Agency ,prayed that the Almighty creator who gives freely and takes at Will can not be questioned.
He further consoled the emir ,saying he should take what happened in good faith as Muslim.
” Let me plead with you to remain strong in faith,remain focus in leading the good people of Keffi ,which is one emirate that recorded great peace and offered hospitality to all.
“Your Highness, you are not in this alone ,but we are touched by the death of our mother,sister and a precious being who has lived a very examplary life.May her legacies be copied by many whom she has in one way or the other impacted them positively” He said
Also, Pankshin Old Boys Association ,all the way from Plateau State,led by their National President Mr kenzy were in keffi to condole their association Grand Patron,Dr Shehu Chindo Yamusa11.
