Rivers State is actively preparing its budget for the 2025 fiscal year, with a strong emphasis on addressing critical development areas, according to the State Administrator, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Ibok Ete Ekwe Ibas.
Speaking during a meeting with the Rivers State caucus at the National Assembly held at Government House in Port Harcourt on Thursday, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Ibas revealed that the forthcoming budget will prioritize key sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, and infrastructure. Furthermore, the budget aims to stimulate job creation and foster technological advancement within the state.
The meeting was attended by prominent Rivers State lawmakers, including Senator Barinada Mpigi, representing the Rivers South-East District and leader of the caucus, Senator Allwell Onyesoh, Minority Leader of the House of Representatives Kingsley Chinda, and a number of other state and federal legislators.
