What would have come as parting gift for the year to Nigeria workers, especially that 25th December marks Christmas celebration and it consequent responsibility for the year, federal workers are unhappy .
Their expectations falls short as the December salaries even as at Tuesday the last working day for the month ,they are yet to access their salaries.
A police personnel who confided to our correspondent affirmed that he has not received his December salary .
” This is not a good omen on the Federal Government and it berates the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President,even after pronouncing appreciable salary package of the #70,500 minimum wage” He frown.
Another worker with NAPTIP also confirmed to Observers Times that they were assured of payment of the December salaries,which would have marked the authentic promised on the new minimum wage,but this is still unfulfilled.
” So we are beginning to wonder if our government being our employees mean well for Nigeria workers.
Investigation revealed that the delay in the payment of the December salaries may not be unconnected to the new federal government salary template which is yet to be officially captured as a working tool to be implemented.
However,the situation has rendered many homes marking the festive period in low key.
