One Dead, Four Injured in School Bomb Explosion in Abuja.

A tragic incident occurred on Monday, January 6, 2025, in Kuchibiyu community, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), when a bomb explosion at an Islamiyyah school resulted in one student fatality and critical injuries to four others.
The explosion took place around noon in the peaceful community, situated approximately 42 kilometers from Abuja’s city center.
Emergency responders, including the police bomb disposal squad, promptly arrived at the scene, while the injured students were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for immediate medical care.
A security source indicated that the deceased student was believed to be carrying a substance suspected to be an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) when the detonation occurred.
Official statements from security and police authorities are yet to be released.
