Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, has firmly refuted circulating rumors of his impending departure from the party. Speaking at the ongoing National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja, Obi clarified that he has not engaged in any discussions with individuals or groups regarding leaving the LP.
“I have not told anybody that I am leaving the Labour Party,” Obi stated emphatically, addressing party members. He further emphasized that any decisions concerning the party’s future would be made in close consultation with its stakeholders.
