Former Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has entered the fray between National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, and Hajia Naja’atu Muhammad, a former Commissioner at the Police Service Commission (PSC).

Ribadu recently demanded a public apology and retraction from Muhammad, accusing her of spreading falsehoods about him in a Tik Tok video.

In the video, Hajia Muhammad claimed that the NSA had served under President Bola Tinubu’s administration, whom Ribadu had criticized during his time as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In response, Ribadu through his lawyer, Dr Ahmed Raji, SAN, denied ever holding such views publicly or privately and expressed the damage caused by the TikTok video as immeasurable.

Muhammad, however, stood by her claims, stating that the evidence supported her statements and refused to offer an apology.

El-Rufai, supporting Muhammad, remarked, “Nuhu must have serious amnesia,” referencing Ribadu’s memory loss.

El-Rufai cited past Senate records and newspaper reports to corroborate Muhammad’s claims against Ribadu and emphasized the importance of speaking out against wrongdoing.

The ongoing dispute highlights the complexities of politics and personal relationships in Nigerian public life.
