The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has been conferred with the traditional title of Hasken Abuja—meaning “The Light of Abuja”—in a ceremony held in Abuja.
The honour was bestowed by the FCT Traditional Council, led by the Adamu Baba Yunusa, who presided over the event.
The title recognises Wike’s role and contributions to the development of the capital territory, reflecting the council’s endorsement of his leadership and ongoing initiatives.
The ceremony, attended by traditional leaders and dignitaries, underscores the continued influence of customary institutions in acknowledging political figures within Nigeria’s governance landscape.
