Lagos Assembly Crisis: PSC Removes CP Ishola, Appoints Moshood Lawal

The Police Service Commission has officially appointed Olohundare Moshood Jimoh as the new Commissioner of Police for the Lagos State Command.

According to a statement from Ikechukwu Ani, the Head of Press and Public Relations for the Commission, Jimoh previously served as the Commissioner of Police for the Ports Authority in the Eastern Ports. A native of Kwara State, he has held various notable positions within the police force, including serving as the Force Public Relations Officer, Deputy Commissioner of Airport Police, Deputy Commissioner for Finance and Administration, and Deputy Commissioner for General Investigation.

During the appointment process, Jimoh was presented to the Commission’s Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu, alongside Justice Adamu Paul Galmuje, a retired Supreme Court Justice, and DIG Taiwo Lakanu, who represents the police on the Commission.
