••Chief Onoja SAN and Barr. Ebute SAN Recognized for Contributions to Peace and Security


DOMA, Nasarawa State – Prominent Kogi State legal practitioners, Chief Ogwu James Onoja SAN and Barr. Moses Ebute SAN, received Special Nigerian Army Recognition Awards at the 2024 West Africa Social Activities (WASA) held at the 4 Special Forces Command, Doma.
The distinguished legal luminaries and philanthropists attended the event at the invitation of Major Gen. H.E. Nzan, Commander of the 4 Special Forces Command and a close associate of Chief Onoja. They were warmly welcomed by the Commander and other dignitaries upon arrival and were seated as Special Guests of Honour.
Chief Onoja commended the Nigerian Army for the WASA initiative, highlighting its role in showcasing Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage. He described the Army as the backbone of national unity and strength, pledging his continued support and commitment to future events.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of the Special Nigerian Army Awards to Chief Onoja and Barr. Ebute by Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, the Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, representing the Governor. The awards recognized their immense contributions to peace, security, and societal development.
The event showcased a vibrant display of Nigerian culture, including an inspection of local cuisine prepared by various Army units, led by Deputy Governor Akabe, Chief Onoja, Barr. Ebute, the Emir of Lafia, the Andoma of Doma, and other guests. Awards were also presented to deserving personnel within the command. The event featured impressive performances from the Army’s unarmed squad and colorful cultural performances from various ethnic groups across Nasarawa, Benue, and Plateau States, as well as the Igbo and Yoruba communities.
