The appeal court today dismissed the petition brought before it by Peoples Democratic  Party Candidate for the Kogi east senate seat, Senator Attai Aidoko,THE OBSERVERS TIMES learnt.
The Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal on july 30th 2019  dismissed a Kogi East Senatorial District petition filed by Senator Ali Atai Aidoko Usman and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against Isah Jibrin, All Progressive Congress (APC), Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the returning officer Kogi Senatorial District with petition number EPT/KG/SEN/13/2019.

The Petition was dismissed because the petitioners could not prove their case that Senator Isah Jubril Echocho of APC was at the time of election not qualified to contest for election, alleged corrupt practices and not fully elected by majority of lawful votes casted at the election.
