Nollywood actor-turned-politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has refuted claims of a rift with Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, declaring that his loyalty lies firmly with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 polls.
Speaking on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television breakfast show, on Friday, Okonkwo said he would back whoever emerges as the ADC’s presidential candidate.
“Whoever wins the presidential primary of ADC, I will support. I don’t have any personal issue with my brother, Peter Obi,” he stated.
Okonkwo described the ADC as the “most viable platform for Nigerians” as the nation looks towards the next general elections, stressing that the party is well-positioned to provide credible leadership in 2027.
