Kaduna, Defence Minister Align on Security Push as Uba Sani Hosts Courtesy Visit

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has pledged closer collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces to strengthen security and safeguard communities across the state.

The governor made the commitment on Monday while receiving the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (retd.), on a courtesy visit at the Government House in Kaduna.

Governor Sani congratulated the minister on his recent appointment and reaffirmed Kaduna State’s readiness to work hand in hand with federal defence authorities to protect lives and property. He stressed that security remains the foremost priority of his administration, noting that peace and stability are essential for sustainable development.

Discussions during the visit centred on enhancing security operations, deepening intelligence sharing and coordination, and improving support for security personnel deployed in Kaduna State. Both leaders underscored the importance of synergy between state and federal institutions in tackling security challenges.

The governor also expressed appreciation for the minister’s commendation of the Kaduna State Government and residents for their consistent cooperation and support for security agencies operating in the state.

Governor Sani voiced confidence that under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria’s defence architecture would continue to grow stronger, yielding tangible security gains for Kaduna State and the country at large.
