President Bola Tinubu has officially approved the conversion of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) into a university. This announcement was made by the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, during a recent visit to the institution. He highlighted that the plans to finalize the conversion process are already underway.
Dr. Alausa noted that the college’s staff, students, and management have been actively praying and fasting for this transition. He expressed his surprise at being approached about the matter but confirmed that President Tinubu was quick to approve the conversion during their discussions. The Minister is now awaiting the necessary official documentation and protocols to complete the process.
