“The more reason the flying public should be more careful. The unruly passenger on the Uyo–Lagos bound Ibom Air flight, Miss Comfort Emmanson, has been charged to court and she’s now cooling off in Kirikiri,” Moshood wrote.
This statement comes amid warnings from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority about stricter enforcement against passengers engaging in disruptive behavior, which has been increasing at Nigerian airports.
OBSERVERS TIMES Emmanson was caught on video repeatedly slapping a Purser after allegedly being asked to switch off her phone before take-off.
In response, Ibom Air issued a statement on Monday, banning the passenger from future flights. The airline also stated that Emmanson attempted to forcibly remove a fire extinguisher to use as a weapon, describing the act as “an intention to damage and ground the aircraft.”
