Israeli media reports say senior Iranian official Ali Larijani was among the targets of overnight air strikes carried out by the Israeli military across Iran, in what could mark a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict.

Citing Israeli officials, reports indicate that the strikes were aimed at high-level figures within Iran’s security establishment. However, there has been no independent confirmation of whether Larijani was killed or injured.

According to Israeli broadcaster N12, authorities are still assessing the outcome of the operation, with the results of the strike yet to be fully determined.

If confirmed, the targeting of Larijani — a key figure in Iran’s political and security architecture — would represent one of the most high-profile attempts on Iran’s leadership in recent weeks, as hostilities between the two sides intensify.

Iranian officials have not publicly responded to the reports, and the situation remains unclear as assessments continue.
