Veteran Nollywood actress, Shaffy Bello, says she has no interest in dating younger men anymore, insisting that stage of her life is over.
Speaking on the Dear Ife series hosted by Ifedayo Agoro, Bello said her views on relationships have shifted with time.
“There is no need to,” she said when asked whether she would consider another relationship with a younger man. “I have done it before. I think what I want now is different. When I did it, I was having fun. It was for a season; the season is over. I know for sure what I want now is marriage.”
The actress, known for her bold fashion and screen presence, admitted she still attracts attention from younger admirers, especially online.
“Well, look, I claim it, I own it, it happens. I am over 50 and young men is sliding to your DM. That is flattering, but the thing is, some of them are badly behaved. Some will come ‘Hi, dear’,” she said with a laugh.
On marriage, Bello said she remains open, but not on conventional terms.
“I don’t mind marriage. But I have a different opinion when it comes to marriage. I think a lot of people are very rigid when it comes to marriage.”
