Hon. Yakawada Named Chair of Regional Commissions to Supercharge Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Vision

Engr. Abubakar Momoh, Minister of Regional Development, has appointed Hon. Lawal Sama’ila Abdullahi Yakawada as Chairman of All Boards of Commissions under the Federal Ministry of Regional Development, effective immediately.

Tasked with steering strategic policy coordination, Hon. Yakawada will drive synergy and collaboration across the ministry’s commissions to fast-track regional integration and socio-economic progress nationwide.

Announcing the appointment in Abuja, Minister Momoh hailed Yakawada as “a dynamic administrator and dedicated patriot whose extensive experience will galvanise President Tinubu’s vision for transformative national development.”

“Hon. Yakawada’s proven leadership and commitment make him the ideal choice to unify our commissions and deliver impactful results for Nigerians,” Momoh declared.

As chairman, Yakawada is set to champion innovative strategies, aligning the commissions’ efforts with the ministry’s goals to ensure tangible benefits for communities across the country.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Yakawada expressed deep gratitude to President Tinubu and Minister Momoh for the opportunity, vowing to lead with dedication. “This is a profound call to service. I am committed to fostering collaboration, boosting efficiency, and ensuring every commission drives meaningful progress for our nation,” he stated.
