Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar led a delegation to meet with ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo at his residence in Abuja. Accompanied by former Cross River State Governor Liyel Imoke and former Sokoto State Governor Senator Aminu Tambuwal, the agenda of the meeting remains undisclosed. This comes amid efforts by the opposition to strategize ahead of the 2027 presidential election, aiming to defeat the ruling APC. Atiku, who served as Obasanjo’s deputy from 1999 to 2007, is a longstanding presidential hopeful, having contested the 2023 election as the PDP candidate.
