Manchester United have faced a challenging season due to numerous injuries, including long-term setbacks for Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, and Joshua Zirkzee. The loss of Amad, a key player under Ruben Amorim, has also been significant.
Adding to these concerns, Diogo Dalot recently picked up a calf injury, with initial fears suggesting his season was over, ruling him out of the Europa League semi-final against Athletic Club.
Dalot’s Potential Final Appearance
However, The Daily Mail indicates that Dalot might still feature this season if Manchester United reach the Europa League final on May 21. The defender had been managing calf discomfort since the quarter-final against Lyon, which worsened after the Wolves game.
Despite this, manager Ruben Amorim had previously suggested a possible swift recovery for his compatriot, stating his hard work could lead to a quicker return.
Amad’s Imminent Return
In further positive news for United, Amad is also nearing a comeback. Despite initial expectations of a season-ending injury, he is back in training and could potentially play against Brentford and in the second leg against Athletic Club.
