Former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai has been taken back into custody by officials of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) after being granted administrative bail to attend his mother’s burial.
El-Rufai appeared earlier on Tuesday before both the Kaduna State High Court and the Federal High Court in Kaduna, as legal proceedings in the case continue.
The Federal High Court adjourned the hearing of his bail application until Wednesday, when the former governor is expected to learn the court’s decision on whether he will be released pending trial.
