Former Kogi deputy governor Elder Simon Achuba has felicitated Muslim faithful across the country on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urging them to sustain the unity, sacrifice and compassion that marked the observance of Ramadan.
In a statement he personally signed, Achuba described Ramadan as a period of sacrifice, discipline and spiritual reflection that he said embodies the rebirth Nigeria needs at this time. He commended worshippers for their devotion during the month of fasting, prayers and charitable acts.
The former deputy governor emphasized that the compassion, tolerance and selflessness demonstrated during Ramadan are essential to building a peaceful, united and prosperous society. He called on Muslims to carry those virtues beyond the month and to promote harmony, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence among all citizens, regardless of religious or ethnic differences.
Achuba also urged the faithful in Kogi State to remember the less privileged and show love and support to those in need during the celebrations. He wished Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid and prayed for the acceptance of prayers for peace in the country.
