Operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) raided the Green Legacy Hotel, located within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, early Sunday morning. The operation, which took place during a pool party, led to the arrest of an undisclosed number of individuals suspected of being internet fraudsters.
A viral video circulating online shows partygoers fleeing as gunshots echo. According to reports, the EFCC team, believed to be from the Lagos Directorate, seized over 20 luxury cars and other valuables.

The raid comes just a week after the commission’s Ibadan Zonal Directorate arrested 55 suspected internet fraudsters, including one found with two locally made pistols, at a hotel in Itori, Ogun State.
An X user named A. Ayomide described the chaotic scene, tweeting, “Literally left my house past midnight to go to OOPL, got there and the crowd was too much… Left around 1:30, 20 minutes later I get home and I’m getting calls that EFCC is raiding OOPL.”
Vitalis Ortese, the Managing Director of OOPL Ventures, confirmed the incident to The PUNCH, stating, “Yes, they did. There was an incident this morning. We will find out and we will let you know.”
EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale could not be reached for comment.
