The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has dismissed as false a viral social media post claiming that the anti-graft agency is conducting a secret recruitment exercise.
In a statement, the commission described the circulating message as misleading and urged members of the public to disregard it, warning that it did not originate from the EFCC.
The agency stressed that it is not carrying out any covert recruitment and reiterated that all employment opportunities are announced openly through its official communication channels and other credible platforms.
The EFCC also cautioned job seekers against falling victim to fraudsters who exploit fake recruitment notices to extort money or obtain personal information from unsuspecting applicants.
It advised Nigerians to verify recruitment-related information through the commission’s official website and verified social media accounts before taking any action.
The anti-graft agency reaffirmed its commitment to transparency in its recruitment process and urged the public to report individuals or groups using its name to perpetrate fraud.
