Dr. David Charima commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu‘s efforts, saying “Tinubu is doing well.

Charima,in a statement on Sunday evening, said”All honest people know this, regardless of party.

“We only need to increase our publicity efforts.”

However, he also highlighted a pressing concern: the disconnect between state governors and the President in meeting the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians.

“Despite the federal government’s allocation to states tripling, the effects are not being felt at the grassroots level.”

Dr. Charima attributed this to governors not doing enough to implement policies that benefit their constituents.

“Politics is local,” he emphasized, adding that many politicians are more focused on playing to the gallery rather than delivering tangible results.

The economist pointed to positive economic indicators, such as steady growth, foreign investment stability, and dropping commodity prices, as evidence that the President’s policies are working. He also cited the recent wins of the Super Falcons and Tigress as a testament to the nation’s progress under President Tinubu’s leadership.

Dr. Charima warned that denying President Tinubu a second term would be a setback to democracy and the country’s steady growth. He acknowledged that subsidy removal may have been painful, but likened it to surgery, necessary for sustainable development and a functional economic system.

“This is not about partisan politics but about taking a hard stand for supporting what is right for Nigeria to be sustained in the proper trajectory.”

Dr. Charima stressed, underscoring the need for a non-partisan approach to governance.
