Nigerians living abroad under the banner of the Tinubu Ambo Support Group (TASG) have thrown their weight behind President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, describing his leadership as visionary and result-driven.
Speaking during a solidarity meeting held in England, TASG Diaspora Director, Kelvin Muyiwa, said members of the group are impressed with the administration’s efforts to stabilise the economy and restore public confidence in governance.
Muyiwa commended the President for what he called “a courageous and strategic leadership style,” noting that the reforms introduced under the Renewed Hope Agenda are gradually transforming key sectors of the economy.
“We have observed the President’s steps in reviving critical sectors of the economy. His Renewed Hope Agenda is yielding results, and we believe he deserves another term to consolidate on the gains,” he stated.
The group urged Nigerians at home to actively participate in the forthcoming voter registration exercise by obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). According to Muyiwa, increased citizen participation is essential to strengthen democracy and promote national development.
“We urge every Nigerian, especially the youths, to register for their PVCs. The power to decide the future of our country lies in our hands,” he added.
During the congress, the group also declared support for Akinwunmi Ambode, former governor of Lagos State, encouraging him to contest again in the 2027 general election.
Muyiwa described Ambode’s tenure as “a benchmark for good governance and urban renewal,” stressing that his return to public office would further accelerate development in Lagos and beyond.
“Ambode’s leadership transformed Lagos into a model city for other states to emulate. Bringing him back will consolidate those gains,” he said.
The Tinubu Ambo Support Group reaffirmed its commitment to mobilising Nigerians in the diaspora and at home to ensure electoral success for both President Tinubu and Ambode in the 2027 polls.
