Popular nightlife entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest has declared his intention to contest for a seat in Nigeria’s House of Representatives, representing Orsu, Orlu and Oru East federal constituency in Imo State.
He announced his bid under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), signaling a shift from entertainment and business into frontline politics.
The socialite, known for his influence and large following, said his decision to run for office is driven by a desire to improve the living conditions of people in his constituency.
“I am stepping forward to make life better for my people,” he said, framing his ambition around development and grassroots impact.
His declaration adds to a growing trend of public figures transitioning into politics in Nigeria, where name recognition and social capital are increasingly shaping electoral contests.
