China has called for coordinated international efforts to combat Islamophobia, urging greater respect for religious and cultural diversity across the world.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Chinese authorities emphasised the need for dialogue and mutual understanding among civilisations, warning that rising intolerance and discrimination against Muslims threaten global stability and social cohesion.

Beijing reiterated its commitment to strengthening cooperation with Islamic countries, noting that partnerships would continue to expand across political, economic and cultural fronts.

The statement also underscored China’s support for initiatives aimed at promoting inclusivity and safeguarding the rights of all religious groups, while calling on the international community to take concrete steps in addressing hate and prejudice.

China maintains that fostering respect for diversity is essential to building lasting peace and sustainable development worldwide.
