The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has deployed an aerial surveillance aircraft to bolster ongoing efforts to locate and rescue teachers and pupils abducted from the Yawota and Ahoro-Esinele communities in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The deployment forms part of a coordinated security operation aimed at tracking the kidnappers and facilitating the safe return of the victims. Authorities say aerial intelligence is being used to support ground troops as search-and-rescue efforts intensify across the affected areas.

Security agencies have yet to provide details on the number of those abducted or the circumstances surrounding the attack, while rescue operations remain underway.
