Victory Okokon has taken control of the Big Brother Naija Season 10 house after beating fellow contestants in the Monday night Head of House challenge. His win cuts short Thelma Lawson’s reign, just a day after she was announced as HoH.
The twist came unexpectedly. Thelma had earned the title on Sunday, becoming the first woman to hold the position this season. But her time was short-lived, thanks to a surprise format shakeup introduced by Big Brother.
Victory’s triumph means full immunity for the week, access to the luxurious HoH room, and command over house activities. He didn’t waste time using his new powers. Instead of picking Gigi Jasmine, whom many expected, he selected Joanna as both his deputy and house guest. The pair now enjoy exclusive privileges in the HoH lounge.
“I came here to play the game with my mind, not just emotions,” Victory said shortly after the win. “This is just the beginning.”
This season has already seen its fair share of power plays. Jason Jae set the tone early on when he became the first contestant to retain the HoH position under the revamped rules.
