Kemi Badenoch, leader of the UK Conservative Party, has unveiled a stringent immigration strategy, the Radical Borders Plan, aimed at deporting 150,000 illegal migrants each year. In a video posted on her X account on Sunday, she described the reforms as “the toughest Britain has ever seen,” introducing a new Removals Force modelled on the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to strengthen border control.

Badenoch criticised successive Conservative and Labour governments for failing to address the migration crisis, highlighting Labour’s record of over 50,000 illegal arrivals and £32 billion spent on asylum hotels in a single year. The plan proposes banning asylum claims from illegal entrants, repealing the Human Rights Act, and withdrawing from the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). It also pledges to deport illegal arrivals within a week, remove legal barriers to mass deportations, and impose visa sanctions on non-cooperative countries.

The Removals Force aims to dismantle the “asylum hotel racket,” save billions in taxpayer funds, and restore public confidence in border security. “Only the Conservatives have a credible plan for stronger borders. If you’re here illegally, you will be deported,” Badenoch declared.
