The All Progressives Congress (APC) has relocated its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, set for Thursday, to the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, the party announced on Wednesday.
Initially slated for the APC’s national secretariat in Abuja, the venue change was attributed to logistical reasons, according to Felix Morka, the party’s national publicity secretary.
The high-stakes meeting is expected to focus on nominating and ratifying a new national chairman, following the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje on June 27, reportedly due to health concerns.
Abubakar Dalori has since taken over as acting chairman, setting the stage for a pivotal decision in the ruling party’s leadership.
