Lawyers representing the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have written to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, calling for the swift delivery of judgment in a heated leadership dispute involving former Senate President David Mark and Nafiu Bala.
The legal team is urging the judiciary to expedite the ruling in the ongoing case, which centres on competing claims to the leadership of the opposition party.
In the letter, the ADC’s counsel expressed concern over what they described as prolonged delay in resolving the matter, warning that continued uncertainty could deepen internal tensions within the party and affect its organisational stability.

The dispute between Mark and Bala has become a focal point in the ADC’s internal crisis, drawing attention from political observers who say the outcome could shape the party’s direction ahead of future elections.
The Chief Justice is yet to publicly respond to the request, while the case remains pending before the court.
