The immediate family of His Excellency, Late Alhaji Ibrahim Idris (IBRO), former Governor of Kogi State, has concluded arrangements for his burial.
Following a family meeting and subsequent press briefing, the decision was formally communicated by Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris, the first son of the late former Governor. He confirmed that his father will be laid to rest in Idah, Idah Local Government Area of Kogi State, in accordance with Islamic rites.
The family wishes to clarify that the burial arrangement announced by the immediate family is the official and final arrangement for the interment of Late Alhaji Ibrahim Idris (IBRO).
The family therefore appeals to members of the public, friends, associates, and the media to disregard any contrary reports, messages, or claims regarding the location of his burial.
For the avoidance of doubt, the family has spoken through its designated representative, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris, who made the announcement following due consultation with members of the immediate family.
The family also urges individuals circulating alternative accounts to refrain from creating confusion or misinformation at this solemn time. The family remains united in ensuring that the wishes and arrangements agreed upon for their late father are respected.
Idah is the final Place of Rest.
