The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports that it has withdrawn its proposed 2027 presidential campaign council list, describing the claims as rumours.
Felix Morka, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, said there was no truth to reports suggesting that the APC had withdrawn the list.
Speaking with TheCable on Tuesday morning, Mr Morka said any decision to alter or withdraw the list would be officially communicated by the party.
“Those are rumours. If there are any changes, they will be formally announced,” he said.
The clarification comes amid growing political activity ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general election, with parties expected to intensify preparations and begin constituting campaign structures in the months ahead.
The reported campaign council list had generated attention within political circles, particularly as the APC prepares to defend its position at the federal level.
The party’s latest statement, however, suggests that there has been no formal withdrawal of the list and that any substantive changes will be communicated through official channels.
The APC has yet to provide further details on the composition or status of the campaign council.
