Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has raised concerns over the conduct of some polling officials during the ongoing Osun State governorship election.

Davido alleged that some polling officers were planning to manipulate the results of the election, urging the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately call its personnel to order.

The singer made the allegation in a statement shared amid voting across the state, where voters are choosing the next governor of Osun.

He called on INEC to ensure that its officials adhere strictly to electoral guidelines and protect the integrity of the voting process.

Davido’s comments come as political parties and their supporters closely monitor the election, with attention focused on the conduct of polling officials and the collation of results.

The singer has been vocal about political issues in Nigeria and has previously participated actively in electoral processes.

INEC is yet to publicly respond to the specific allegations made by Davido.

The electoral commission has repeatedly urged voters, political parties and election officials to maintain peace and follow established procedures throughout the voting and collation process.
