A former presidential candidate and the Pioneer Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Alhaji Shitu Mohammed Kabir (MON, OFR), has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office.

Kabir, a double national honor recipient, declared that the President’s re-election in 2027 is the most viable path to ensuring national stability, infrastructure development, and long-term security.

In a strongly worded statement released on [Insert Day], the veteran statesman predicted a clear victory for the incumbent and called on the 2023 Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, to set aside partisan differences and collaborate with the President for the sake of the country.

“Politics should be like football: competitors contest vigorously, but after the final whistle, they shake hands and work together for the good of the nation,” Kabir remarked, emphasizing that the era of post-election friction should give way to national integration.

He further advised Obi that working with the current administration would be a strategic move for “sustained political relevance and national progress.”

According to Kabir, the Tinubu administration requires the “continuity of its current policies” to fully deliver on its promises to the Nigerian people. He maintained that shifting gears in 2027 would only disrupt the progress being made in the sectors of infrastructure and national security.
