Governor Bala Mohammed has firmly dismissed claims suggesting that public funds from Bauchi State may have been misappropriated or linked to the financing of terrorism.

Responding to a pointed question asking whether he could categorically assure Nigerians that no state resources had been diverted under his administration, the governor gave an unequivocal denial.

“No Bauchi funds have been used, to my knowledge, to fund terrorism or to pay ransom to anybody,” Governor Mohammed stated.

The governor’s remarks come amid heightened national scrutiny over the alleged diversion of public funds by some officials across the country. Mohammed stressed that his administration maintains strict oversight of state finances and remains committed to transparency, due process, and accountability.

He assured residents that the government continues to prioritise security, development, and prudent financial management, adding that any attempt to misappropriate state resources would be met with swift legal consequences.

As of the time of reporting, no additional evidence has been presented to contradict the governor’s position, and the state government says it remains focused on delivering its development agenda.
