Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters (DHQ) says the latest series of coordinated airstrikes conducted by the Nigerian Armed Forces and regional partners clearly demonstrates a strengthened collective resolve to dismantle terrorist networks across the Lake Chad Basin and other hotspots.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the DHQ noted that the operations were carried out with precision, targeting insurgent hideouts, logistics hubs, and known assembly points used by terrorist elements.
According to the military authorities, the joint offensives were the result of enhanced intelligence-sharing and operational collaboration with allied nations committed to restoring stability in the region.
“These airstrikes send a strong message that Nigeria and its allies remain unwavering in their determination to counter terrorism and degrade all threats to regional peace,” the DHQ said.
The statement added that initial assessments indicate significant disruption to terrorist activities, with several high-value targets neutralised and key supply routes dismantled.
The DHQ reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to safeguarding citizens and maintaining operational momentum until all terror cells are decisively weakened.
It also urged the public to continue supporting military operations by providing credible information that could aid ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.
