The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly traced 41 high-value properties, estimated at more than N212 billion, to former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), and his son.

According to sources familiar with the development, the properties—spread across prime locations in Nigeria and overseas—were uncovered in the course of ongoing investigations into alleged financial misconduct during Malami’s tenure in office. The assets include luxury residences, commercial buildings, and expansive land holdings.

While the EFCC has yet to release a formal statement detailing the findings, officials confirmed that the properties had been flagged as part of a broader probe into alleged illicit enrichment and abuse of office.

Malami, who served as AGF between 2015 and 2023, has previously denied involvement in any form of corruption, insisting that all assets linked to him were lawfully acquired. As of the time of filing this report, neither he nor his representatives had issued a fresh response to the latest development.

The investigation is expected to continue, with EFCC sources hinting that more discoveries may emerge as forensic audits and property verification processes progress.
