The Federal Government has enlisted 20 prominent Nigerian content creators to spearhead a nationwide campaign aimed at educating citizens about the country’s new tax reform laws. The initiative, announced on Wednesday, forms part of President Bola Tinubu’s broader strategy to ensure transparency and public understanding of the recently introduced tax policies.

According to officials, the selected creators, who boast substantial followings across social media platforms, will produce and share informative content designed to demystify the tax reforms and encourage compliance. The government highlighted that the move is intended to reach younger audiences who increasingly rely on digital media for news and information.

“This collaboration with content creators represents a modern approach to civic education,” a government spokesperson said. “We believe leveraging the influence of these digital voices will significantly enhance public awareness and participation in the new tax framework.”

The list of the 20 selected content creators, which includes some of Nigeria’s most influential voices in entertainment, finance, and social commentary, has been made publicly available. The government emphasised that the campaign will run across multiple digital channels to ensure broad reach and engagement.

Experts have welcomed the initiative, noting that strategic communication through trusted influencers could boost compliance and reduce misinformation surrounding the new tax laws.
