Ten years after his passing, Prince Abubakar Audu remains the defining architect of modern Kogi East, a leader whose vision, courage, and developmental legacy continue to outlive his time. His name still commands respect not out of nostalgia, but because his impact is woven into the very identity of our people.

Prince Audu led with purpose and governed with clarity. He built institutions that strengthened communities, expanded infrastructure that unlocked opportunities, and restored a sense of dignity in public leadership. His work became a template for what focused, disciplined, and people-centred governance can achieve.

A decade later, his legacy stands unshaken. He remains a reference point for unity, fairness, merit, and service, values that continue to guide every serious conversation about the future of Kogi East. His life reminds us that leadership is not about holding power, but about shaping destinies and inspiring hope.

As we commemorate this solemn anniversary, I join the Audu family, the Igala nation, and all Kogites in honouring a statesman whose contributions remain timeless.

His memory challenges us to lead with integrity, govern with compassion, and build with the long-term vision he exemplified.

May Almighty God grant him continued rest, and may the legacy of Prince Abubakar Audu strengthen our resolve to build the prosperous, united future he so passionately envisioned for our people.
