Former Minister of Special Duties and PDP National Chairmanship aspirant, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, has officially submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest for the position of National Chairman of the party.
The PDP has scheduled its Elective National Convention for November 15 and 16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Turaki, widely regarded as the consensus candidate supported by the majority of party stakeholders, submitted his forms on Monday at the National Convention Organizing Committee (NCOC) Secretariat at Legacy House, Shehu Shagari Way, Maitama, Abuja. He was accompanied by friends and political associates.
In contrast, Alhaji Sule Lamido, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and another aspirant for the chairmanship position, visited the PDP headquarters in Abuja to purchase the nomination form but was unable to do so due to the absence of officials to attend to him. Lamido expressed frustration to journalists and hinted at taking legal action if he continues to be denied access to the nomination forms.
