The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on leading politicians, including Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Nasir El-Rufai of the SDP, and Senator Aminu Tambuwal of the PDP, to dump their parties and fully align with the ADC.

The coalition, which has now adopted the ADC as its official platform, has distanced itself from the unregistered All Democratic Alliance (ADA).

National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi announced the resolution after a meeting of party leaders in Abuja on Thursday.

Those present included National Chairman David Mark, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, National Secretary Rauf Aregbesola, El-Rufai, Tambuwal, and former Rivers State Governor Chibuike Amaechi.

Abdullahi said the coalition had “rested everything concerning the ADA” and agreed that all presidential aspirants would support whoever emerges from the ADC primaries.

He added that the National Working Committee will soon set dates for primaries in Osun and Ekiti ahead of off-cycle governorship polls.
