Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting in Dutse on Monday, Namadi praised Tinubu’s policies and reforms, describing them as the foundation for Nigeria’s future.
“The president has taken bold steps that many before him avoided. These policies are difficult but necessary, and they are already shaping the future of our country,” he said.
The governor urged Nigerians to remain patient and support the federal government, stressing that Tinubu deserves another mandate to consolidate his reforms.
Namadi is the first north-west governor to publicly declare support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
