TikTok Star Peller Rejects N61 Million Offer to Become Ghanaian Citizen, Cites Loyalty to Nigeria

Popular Nigerian TikTok creator and streamer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, recently revealed turning down an enticing offer to become a Ghanaian citizen worth 500,000 Ghanaian cedis, approximately N61 million.

In a viral video, Peller shared that some individuals approached him during his visit to Ghana with the lucrative proposal, which he ultimately rejected due to his unwavering loyalty to Nigeria.

“Ghana dey offer me 500 thousand cedis. They wanted to buy me, but the faith and honesty I have for Nigeria,” he said, reciting the Nigerian national pledge in the clip.

Peller, who gained additional recognition by showing up unannounced to support Nigerian chef Hilda Baci during her jollof cookathon, also lamented the harsh realities many Nigerians face, highlighting hunger and economic struggles.

His revelation sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans expressing disbelief at the offer while others praised his patriotism. Comments ranged from admiration to skepticism about the offer’s authenticity, reflecting the varied public opinion.

Peller’s visit to Ghana in April 2025 included a live session with popular Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale and a grand reception at Kotoka International Airport. Despite his initial critiques of Ghanaian living conditions, Peller engaged warmly with fans and peers alike.
