Nigerian talent manager and real estate entrepreneur Ndulue Kenechukwu, widely known as Onlyonekesh, has stepped in to support a man who went viral after collecting jollof rice with his bare hands during chef Hilda Baci’s much-talked-about cookathon.
The viral footage showed the man standing behind a gate while food was scooped directly into his palms, sparking widespread reactions across social media. Many users described the moment as a stark reminder of the economic struggles facing ordinary Nigerians.
Reacting online, Onlyonekesh wrote, “I don’t like this, to be honest. I have something for him, biko. We pray make dem no give us jollof rice wey we no go fit eat. That’s very bad.” He criticised the manner in which the man was treated and urged greater empathy in food distribution.

He later reached out directly to the man, transferring money and urging him to enjoy a proper meal instead. A screenshot of their exchange showed the manager saying, “Make I send you cash go chop better rice for Mega Chicken. No downgrade yourself like that again.”
The recipient responded with a short video, thanking Onlyonekesh for the unexpected act of kindness.
Social media users praised the gesture. One comment read, “The Lord will continue to bless you,” while another added, “Once God want help person, even low voltage go dey sufficient for any transaction.”
