Chioma Adeleke, wife of Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has credited the singer for his role in encouraging her personal ambitions.
Speaking in a trending interview with Noire TV on Saturday, the chef and media personality said her husband has consistently shown interest in her goals, even during challenging times.
“David cares a lot about my dreams,” she said. “I’ve faced a lot of challenges over time, but he would always ask me, ‘Chi, apart from all of this, what do you actually want to do?’ Then we would have plans and have stuff coming out in the next few months. He really cares about my personal dreams.”
Chioma and Davido, who met during their university days, married traditionally in June 2024 after a private court ceremony in March 2023. Preparations are ongoing for a white wedding in Miami, United States, which Davido has described as a “lavish event” with reported costs exceeding $3.7 million.
The couple share three children, including twins born in October 2023. Their relationship has also endured public scrutiny and personal tragedy, notably the death of their first son, Ifeanyi, in 2022.
