Senator Adams Oshiomhole has confidently asserted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would secure a resounding victory if a presidential election were held today. Speaking on Channels TV’s “Politics Today,” Oshiomhole attributed his conviction to the president’s decisive actions in stabilizing the nation, particularly in addressing the pervasive security challenges that plagued farmers in various regions.
Oshiomhole’s remarks followed the recent defection of Kebbi senators to the All Progressives Congress (APC), a move he interpreted as a strong endorsement of Tinubu’s leadership. “He will win very well,” Oshiomhole stated emphatically. He then elaborated on the specific impact of Tinubu’s policies, citing the testimony of one of the defecting senators. “Among the senators that rejoined the APC, one of them said that before President Tinubu [came to power], people from his senatorial zone could not go to the farm because of the level of insecurity. He announced with joy, black and white in the letter he wrote to the Senate that as he speaks, his people are now able to go to their farms. That for him is a plus to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
