The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned that President Bola Tinubu will lose the 2027 presidential election, asserting that financial and material inducements will no longer influence disgruntled voters.
Addressing his congregation in Lagos, Ayodele expressed support for the Archbishop Emeritus of the Catholic Diocese of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, who recently criticized the administration over the prevailing economic hardship in the country.
Ayodele urged Nigerians to defend Onaiyekan, stating that the Cardinal spoke the truth that many prominent Pentecostal leaders have failed to tell the President.
“I commend Archbishop Onaiyekan for what he said to the president,” Ayodele said. “Whether Tinubu heeds the warning or not, the reality is that there is anger and hunger in the land. By the next election, Nigerians will show their grievances at the polls, and distributing rice or money will not stop it.”
The cleric also cautioned President Tinubu against relying on the advice of sycophantic officials.
“We are telling you to do the right thing. These surrogate aides will only push you into a fire that will burn you. If things do not change, Tinubu will lose this election,” he warned.
